— The House
Children outgrow clothes. Everything we do at Kids Fashion Labels begins from that fact.
A child wears a coat for one or two winters. A pair of shoes lasts a single growth season. The most considered garment in the world is wasteful if it is bought without thought, worn briefly, and thrown away. Our position is therefore quiet, and it is practical.
We carry fewer pieces, more deliberately. Each season we work with the brands to select garments cut for growth — generous seam allowances, adjustable waistbands, hems that can be let down. A piece that fits for two seasons rather than one halves its footprint without any further intervention.
Where the brands offer it, we favour natural fibres — cotton, linen, wool, cashmere — and we list the composition of every garment in full on its product page. Down is responsibly sourced through the brands’ own RDS or equivalent programmes. We do not retouch fabric texture in photography; what you see is what arrives.
Garments arrive sealed by The House in their original packaging, placed inside a single recyclable outer carton. No tissue theatre, no gift bag unless requested. Our shipping cartons are FSC-certified and printed with vegetable inks. The hangers we send are timber and intended to be kept.
Pieces that need attention can be returned to us for repair through the relevant brand’s after-care programme — write to hello@kidsfashionlabels.com with a photograph and we will arrange the route. We are working toward a small in-house resale channel for outgrown KFL pieces in good condition; the first edition opens later this year.
We will not call ourselves sustainable. The word has been emptied by overuse. We will instead publish what we do, update it as it changes, and answer plainly when asked.
